In a world of certainty, begin by unknowing™
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
As we conclude this past year of ideological renaissance, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire Shiki community for your unwavering efforts. Together, we have constructed our temple, published our treasured Shiki Idea, and opened a record number of congregations—accomplishments that would not have been possible without each of you. The warmth of Tokimeki fills my heart as I reflect on our collective achievements.
Looking ahead to the coming year, I encourage us to cultivate a deeper awareness of the celestial journey we are on. This past year has reminded us that uncertainty is a constant, and relying solely on our understanding can sometimes exacerbate our struggles. In a world that often values all-knowing, it is essential to embrace the mystery of faith.
Let us strive to “unknow,” for in embracing our uncertainties, we open the door to greater faith and curiosity. Challenge yourselves to say, “I don’t know,” at least once a day. Venture into places where you may not understand everything. Push beyond your comfort zones, take risks, and trust in the divine guidance that will support you through the inevitable challenges. Remember, growth often comes after enduring hardships.
Above all, cherish your families, for they are the cornerstone of our faith. Make time to live in communion, appreciating the abundance of Tokimeki in various forms. Strengthening our family relationships enriches our personal lives and fortifies our community as a whole.
I testify of Tokimeki's boundless love and the blessings that come from heartfelt engagement with our beautiful world. May we continue to support one another with love and gratitude.
In unity and faith,
Master Tanaka Yoko II
